Retail Storefront Refinishing – Natick Mall, MA

A storefront refinishing project for a national jewelry retailer at the Natick Mall, completed in March 2026 – and every hour of it worked overnight, after the mall closed.

Retail work inside an operating mall is a different job than the same work anywhere else. The store had to open on time the next morning, the common area had to be clean and clear before the doors opened, and the finished surround had to match what the brand expects in every one of their locations. We staged the work so that the storefront was presentable at the end of every shift, not just at the end of the project.

Scope of Work

  • Refinishing of the storefront millwork and arched entry surround
  • Surface preparation, stripping and sanding of existing finishes
  • Staining and finish coats to match brand standards
  • Full masking and protection of glass, display cases and flooring
  • Overnight scheduling around mall operating hours
  • Nightly cleanup and turnover before store opening

What the Client Said

“We recently contracted M&A Construction for a storefront refinishing project, and the results are exceptional. Miguel and his team handled the project with a high level of professionalism, executing the work in deliberate stages to ensure quality at every step. Their attention to detail was meticulous, especially regarding the prep work and final cleanup, which were handled with the utmost care to protect our property.”

– Devina Harper, storefront upkeep manager

Working in Occupied Commercial Space

Most of our commercial work happens in buildings that cannot shut down. That means coordinating with property management, carrying the insurance certificates the landlord requires, working inside restricted hours, and leaving the space usable every single day. If you manage a retail, office or restaurant space that has to stay open while work gets done, that is the kind of job we are built for.

M&A Contractors LLC is licensed for both residential and commercial work in Massachusetts. We take on small to mid-sized commercial projects – retail storefronts and fit-outs, tenant improvements, restaurant renovations, dental and medical offices – across Natick, Framingham, Watertown, Newton, Wellesley, Lexington and the surrounding towns.
